JetStor expands Data Platform with JetStor Cloud

Seamless S3-compatible tier for active archives, disaster recovery, and AI datasets—integrating with Infinite and JetBridge

Pittsburgh, PA – [11-18-2025] — JetStor today announced JetStor Cloud, an enterprise-grade cloud storage service that completes the company's comprehensive data platform strategy. The new service provides organizations with a seamless S3-compatible cloud tier for active archives, disaster recovery, and large-scale AI datasets, fully integrated with JetStor Infinite for on-prem performance and JetBridge for migration.

Unlike traditional cloud storage that penalizes data access, JetStor Cloud eliminates egress fees and API charges while delivering security and compliance. The service enables workflows where performance-sensitive data resides on JetStor Infinite while less frequently accessed data automatically tiers to JetStor Cloud, maintaining full S3 compatibility across both environments.

JetStor Cloud represents the natural evolution of our platform strategy. We're giving enterprises a way to manage data across environments without the typical trade-offs between performance, accessibility, and cost. It's cloud storage that actually makes sense for data-intensive workloads.
said Jim Gallagher, CEO of JetStor.

The service features multiple access tiers optimized for different workload requirements, from frequently accessed active archives to long-term compliance data. Enterprise security features include Object Lock with WORM compliance for ransomware protection, data encryption both at rest and in transit, and comprehensive compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.

JetStor Cloud integrates directly with the company's existing ecosystem, customers can use JetBridge to migrate data from any S3-compatible source without application changes, then manage data placement policies across JetStor Infinite and JetStor Cloud through a unified management interface.

Highlights from the Launch

  • Complete Platform Integration: Seamlessly extends JetStor Infinite on-prem storage with cloud tiering

  • Enterprise S3 Compatibility: Full feature support including Object Lock, versioning, and lifecycle policies

  • Zero Egress Architecture: No fees for data access, retrieval, or API calls

  • Security & Compliance: Enterprise-grade encryption, immutability, and SOC 2/ISO 27001/HIPAA compliance

  • Workflow Optimized: Designed for media archives, AI datasets, compliance storage, and backup/DR
